Joan Befort

Joan (Stubert) Befort, 79, of Northglenn, CO passed away in Queen Creek, AZ on March 4, 2019.

She was born in Meade, CO on September 14, 1939 to Susie (Schell) and John Stubert. She is survived by her children Daniel (Michelle Vigil-Befort) Befort of Thornton, CO, Keith (Michele) Befort of Queen Creek, AZ, and Paul Befort of Northglenn, CO; her six grandchildren Christopher Martin of Thornton, CO, Kaity, Luke, and Landon Befort of Gilbert, AZ, Tyler Befort of Denver, CO, and Austin Befort of Queen Creek, AZ; two great-grandchildren Alayna and Alyssa Martin of Ft. Lupton, CO; her siblings Helen (Tony) Hakar of Woodland, CO, and Paula (Don) Higgins of Aurora, CO; numerous sister and brother-in-laws; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Debbie Martin, her brother John W. (Marj) Stubert, her sister Cathy (Henry) Dietz and her lifetime companion Francis Gassman.

A Visitation will be held beginning at 9AM Monday, March 11th and continuing through the day, concluding with a 7PM Recitation of the Rosary at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 9998 Grant Street, Thornton 80229. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, March 12 at 10:30AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 11385 Grant Drive, Northglenn 80233. Please join the family for a reception immediately following at the church.

Joan will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
