Joan Ann Hall

Joni was born January 21, 1946, in Denver, Colorado, resided in Elizabeth, Colorado, and died on March 6, 2012. She is survived by her husband, Larry; children Kip (Jennifer), Kevin, and Keith; grandchildren Stella, Marin, and Sage; and siblings Pamela Saxton and Dale Norblom. She was preceded in death by parents Harold and Helen Norblom. Joni and Larry were married on June 9, 1968 in Denver, Colorad. She graduated with a B.A. in Music Education from Western New Mexico University and with an M.A. in Education from the University of Phoenix. Joni loved children and taught K-6 music, orchestra, theatre, band, and piano in the Douglas County School District from 1972-2009. She was named Teacher of the Year in Douglas County in 1985. Joni was a devout Christian Scientist and was a founding member of the Aurora Christian Science Church and taught Sunday school for over 10 years. Joni enjoyed gardening, attending musicals, and helping out at her church. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She played a significant role in the lives of countless students over her long career. She was always there for her friends, and was truly devoted to her pets. Private services will be held.
