Joan Olsen

Joan Josephine Olsen lived a thoughtful and selfless life, always putting her family and friends first. Joan passed away on Dec 19, 2021. She was 88 years old. She was caring and kind always calling to check on you and yours. We were grateful and blessed to receive her love and love her back.

Born April 12, 1933, in Denver, Colorado, where Joan lived in the city and suburbs her entire life. She proudly called Denver, Lakewood and Littleton home. Joan spent most of her professional career at the Denver Federal Center and retired form the U.S. Geological Survey- Water Resources Division in 1992.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Raymond Olsen. She is survived by her son Thomas Olsen and his wife Kris, of Grand Lake CO.; son Stephen Olsen and his wife Lisa of Denver; and Grandson Matthew Olsen of Winter Park, CO.

Joan’s hobbies included painting, traveling, flower arranging, playing cards & games and enjoying the company of lifelong friends. Joan thrived at making new friends and never met a stranger.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 1-4pm, January 8th, at the Concordia on the Lake Event Center, 7967 W Parkhill Place, Littleton, CO 80123.
