JoAnn Morris Brown

JoAnn Morris Brown, 75, of Aurora, Colorado passed away January 23, 2013. Born in Kent, Ohio, the oldest daughter of Jayne Gougler Morris and Webb Morris; she graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri with a degree in Fine Arts, and later married Ted L. Brown in 1957. An avid painter, reader and gardener, she raised her family of four daughters in Hudson, Ohio and later in Aurora, Colorado. She is preceded in death by her sister Judith Morris Lane; brother, Charles Morris; and daughter, Vanessa Brown. She is survived by her daughters, son-in-laws and their families Vicky Mahn-DiNicola (Keith) of Tucson, Valery Godino (Christopher) of Las Vegas, and Deirdre Haney (Paul) of Denver. She will also be missed by her six grandchildren Katherine and Michael Mahn, Genevieve and Gage Godino and Teddy and Marjorie Haney; and her two great grandchildren Vanessa Pollock and Charlotte Mahn. Friends and Family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 26, 2013, 2-4 PM, at HeartLight Center at Horan & McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado; followed by a graveside ceremony at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio.
