Joann Melisaratos

JoAnn Melisaratos (Sellhorst) passed in Lakewood, Colorado from complications from Leukemia and COVID-19.

She was born October, 30, 1944 to Pete and Theresa (GrossRhode) Sellhorst

JoAnn attended grade school in Olean and Dodge, high school in Dodge, Nebraska until her father passed away then she and her mother moved to Fremont Nebraska where she attended and graduated Bergan High School in Fremont.

She is survived by her husband Bob, step son Jerry (Laura) and grandsons (Alexander and Arye) of Los Angeles, California, her three sisters – Caroline Oligmueller, Mary Lou Sendgraff, and Pat Kaup, sisters-in-law Effie and Barbara, brothers-in-law Andy, Tim (Angela), Paul (Hirola), Tom and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Theresa (GrossRhode), her brother William Sellhorst and wife Berniece, three nephews – Jeff Sellhorst, Todd and Tom Kaup and great nephew Chad Sellhorst, brothers-in-law – Joe Oligmueller, Ray Sendgraff and Leander Kaup, Pete Melisaratos, Thanasious Belegratis, Mitchell Ioannou, sisters-in-law – Angeliki Koutsavlis, Evangelia Melisaratos, mother and father-in-law Melpomeni and Gerasimo Melisaratos.

JoAnn moved to Denver, Colorado in 1968 and worked for AT&T and then met her husband and business partner.  Together they owned and operated the Looking Good Restaurant and then JoJo’s Lounge before retiring about 5 years ago.
