Joann Paiz

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of JoAnn on Dec. 2, 2021 of a brief illness.
JoAnn age 74 of Lakewood Colo.
She is survived by son David (Robin) Wilson of Colo. Springs Colo., Stepson Jeff (Trung) Paiz and Stepson Kenny Paiz and step grandson A.J. Paiz all of the Denver area. Her loving siblings Brother Jim (Bobbie) Linenberger Apollo Beach FL, Sister Julieta Harvey Englewood Colo., Brother Jerry (Joanne) Linenberger Wheatridge Co.  Nephews Greg, FL. Anthony, NC, Justin, Wheatridge CO., Brian Harvey, Englewood, and Niece Jayden Wheatridge Co.
JoAnn was preceded in death by husband Garfield, daughter Tammy, Mother Norine, Father Tony, and Brother John.
JoAnn was born January 27 1947 and lived most of her life in Englewood and Lakewood Colorado. She was a graduate of Englewood High School class of 1965. She loved life and all it had to offer.
JoAnn was a lifetime member of post 9644 VFW Auxillary Fort Logan CO. and was a member of the Littleton Elks.
One of the things she loved most was crocheting. She crocheted countless number of American flags to be donated for VFW Fund raisers. Also when Gar was alive they coordinated the Mesquite Golf Tournament through the Littleton ELKs which took many hours of volunteer time and planning. But she loved it! They also traveled to Australia and New Zealand in Dec. 2001. Gar and JoAnn loved to travel!
Some knew JoAnn better than others, but she had an impact on so many people. Many have been inspired by her kindness, bravery, and sense of humor. Her memory will be treasured by her family and friends always.
There will be interment services at Ft. Logan National cemetery for immediate family. A vigil and celebration of life are to be determined at a later date.
