JoAnne Giannelli Billen

January 8, 1940 — July 19, 2011

JoAnne Giannelli Billen, 71, beloved wife, sister, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly after a day of performing her role as CEO of Perma-Graphics, Inc. She and her husband started this laminating business in 1974. She was greatly loved and respected in the printing industry and by members of the community. Wife of Douglas, mother of Terry Borg (Bob), Sandee Billen Maas (Michael), and Daniel (Tamra), sister of Angelina Giannelli Sether (Irving), Jim Giannelli (LuAnne) sister-in-law of Jimmy Billen (Lavern), Bobby Billen (Carol). She had nine grandchildren, and many neices and nephews, family friends and neighbors. Predeceased by parents Jim and Orsolo Giannelli, sisters Ruby Jacobs and Mary DeMatte, and an infant-son David. Born in Denver, Colorado, she attended Mapleton School and Central Catholic High School. Her first job was in the finance department of Daniels & Fisher's department store. She was an Honorary Lieutenant in the Denver Police Department and Honorary Colonel of the Colorado State Patrol. She was an officer of the Federal Blvd Improvement Association and a past officer of the Denver Chapter of PIA (Print Industry Association). A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 25, at 6:00pm with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm at Horan & McConaty, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, Colorado. A Funeral Mass for JoAnne will be held on Tuesday, July 26, at 9:30 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Business, industry and community members will have an opportunity to pay their respects at a Celebration of Life to be scheduled in August.
