Johan Been

Johan (Jon) Howard Béen, age 61 died peacefully on August 16th, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born May 26, 1959 to Paul and Ann Béen in Martinsville, Virginia. Jon served 26 years in the United States Air Force retiring in 2007 having achieved rank of Master Sergeant.

Jon was a very loving, caring and humorous individual. He raised 2 children to be independent, honest and compassionate adults, passing on his love of family to them all. He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew Béen. Jon is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Lynda Béen; son Joshua Béen (Rosalin), daughter Jessika Östberg (Jonas), grandchild Mila Östberg, parents Paul and Ann Béen, sister Paula-Ann (Junior), and brothers David (Liz) and Jeff.   A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family.
