John Phillip Booras, age 20, passed away on August 17, 2017. John Booras: A Beautiful Life, Well-Lived If you knew John, you were automatically his friend. He didnât know any other way to be with people. Showing genuine kindness to all was not just a personality trait of his, it was quite simply his way of life. From his earliest days, Johnâs sweetness was readily apparent. Six long minutes older than his brother, John never let Peter forget that. (âEver.â -Peter.) Despite being the oldest, John had a very special place in his heart for younger kids, especially if those kids happened to be vulnerable in some way. He had a knack for knowing just when someone needed him, and he never failed to reach out and help. Johnâs life was nothing short of an absolute adventure beyond the ability of words to describe. From becoming an ENT, to traveling to Nicaragua as a nurse, to getting his Associates Degree in Key West, to his plans to go to CU-Boulder to study Astronomy, every moment of Johnâs life was a whirlwind of experiences. Dirt biking, wrestling, soccer, rock climbing, boating, free-diving to incredible depthsâthese are some of the normal things John just did. And did exceptionally well. If you knew John, you knew an adventuresome spirit like no one else. And, as we all know, the biggest part of John was his heart. With that huge heart of his, he touched thousands of lives in ways he likely never really knew. John was most generous with his loveâlove for anyone and everyone, no matter what. A beautiful soul, a life well-lived. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 9203 South University Blvd, Highlands Ranch, 80126.
