""Jack"", 83, passed away at home on October 21, 2007. Beloved husband of Isabelle for 60 years; loving father of Brother John of the Cross, FODC, of Denver, and Dean (Nancy) of Centennial; grandfather of Katherine (Dan) Ogdon and Timothy Burchfield; and brother of Dorothy Slade of Charleston, SC. He was born May 22, 1924 to Ralph and Lillian Burchfield in Evansville, IN. He served in the US Army in The Pacific Theater during WWII before marrying Isabelle in 1947. He graduated from Indiana University in 1948 where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta. He moved his family to Denver in 1953 where he began his career in the furniture business and later opened Columbine Showroom. If he wasn't betting the horses he was playing golf at Columbine Country Club where he served on the board. Visitation Wednesday, October 24, 5-6 pm with a Vigil service at 6 pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd., Denver. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 25, 12:00 pm at Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco Pkwy., Denver.
