John ""Jack"" Carruth, 90, of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully on January 31, 2020 at Allison Care Center. Born on March 17, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late William and Theresa Carruth. Jack joins his wife Gertrude Mae Carruth in eternal life.
Jack Carruth began his career working with his father in the plumbing industry. In 1961 he took a job with Cerro Copper & Brass and in 1975 started his own plumbing supply company. He and his wife Trudy worked Carruth Company while raising 5 children. Jack was deeply invested in Alcoholics Anonymous and devoted most of his time to helping hundreds of people with their recovery. Countless people from AA have iterated ""At first I hated Jack - he saved my life."" He will be missed by many.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Southern Gables Church 4001 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Littleton, Colorado 80123. The family invites everyone to a Reception immediately following services.
