John C. Clark

John C. Clark, 82, of Centennial, born in Jefferson City, MO. John served as a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. He was a fighter pilot in WWII and in the Korean War, where he was awarded the Air Medal. John held degrees from the University of Missouri and Colorado A&M. He loved the outdoors and horses, and was a true cowboy at heart. Most of his working life was in Colorado with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. Husband of Vivian; father of John (Leslie) Clark Jr., Christina Hanneman, Mary (John) Scanlan; father-in-law of Jamie Clark. Preceded in death by his son, Ben Clark. Grandfather of nine; brother of Louis Clark, Ephraim Clark, Anne Davis, Margaret Kolb, Mary Jane Fagan and Joe Clark. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation, 12:00 noon with Rosary to follow at 1:00 pm, both Sunday at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass, Monday 10:00 am, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec St. Interment to follow, Fort Logan National Cemetery.
