John P. Czosnyka, a proud veteran of the Army, passed away January 4th, 2022 at home, in Lakewood, Colorado.
The son of Peter and Irene Czosnyka, John was born June 4, 1948 and grew up in East St. Louis, Illinois.
John is survived by his wife Suzanne Bradley, and his sisters Patricia Czosnyka and Nancy Drobnis. He is preceded in death by his sister Mary Summer. His loved ones will remember his passion for landscape photography and high fidelity sound reproduction, as an audiophile. Two of his favorite places to explore on his motorcycle were the Grand Canyon and Estes Park. He loved exploring mysteries such as yetis, and life on other planets. He also enjoyed playing the cornet and trumpet.
Most recently, John had a long career at Home Depot, where he considered his colleagues his second family. He was a faithful, practicing Catholic and volunteered at Mother Cabrini Shrine.
A service honoring the life of John Czosnyka will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. 80227 on January 17, 2022. Reception will be at 9:00am, followed by A Memorial Mass at 10:30am. A Graveside Service will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery directly after Mass with military service at 12:30pm. For those who will be attending the service at Fort Logan National Cemetery, please be at staging area “B” no later than 12:15pm.
The family asks for any donations to go to one of the following: Paralyzed Veterans of America, ALS Foundation, or Dumb Friends League.
