John Chester Fulfer, Jr., 79, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on November 22, 2017. John was born September 16, 1938 in Sudan, Texas to John and Lessie Fulfer. He grew up in Grand Junction, Colorado where he graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1956. He went to Mesa College until he joined the Navy in 1958. In 1969, he married his wife, Roberta. He worked for AT&T (and their subsidiaries) for 32 years. He retired in 1996 and started his own home repair business. He was a gifted carpenter and landscaper and he helped many families with their home projects over the years. John loved playing board games and video poker. He was a big fan of the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies and Denver Nuggets. He was a faithful, kind and charitable man with a servant heart second to none. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. John is survived by his wife of 48 years Roberta Fulfer, daughter and son-in law, Melissa and Eric Newman and their children, EJ, Jack, Joshua, Ellie and Claire Newman; Johnâs daughter and son-in-law Jennifer Jill Love-Noyes and Shawn Noyes; grandchildren JJ, Krystal, Joseph John and Kandis Love; great-grandchildren Ashton, Logan, Mason, Hayley, Payton, Jaylen and Jaxon and numerous nieces and nephews . He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lessie Fulfer and his sisters, Dorothy (Fulfer) Alsup and Betty (Fulfer) McBride. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11 am at Horan & McConaty Chapel 11150 E.
