John Harrison Gayer

John Harrison Gayer, 89, of Denver, passed away Sept. 8, 2008. John was born in Plattsmouth, NE. Spent many years in Germany and Switzerland before settling in Denver and going into broadcasting--building Colorado radio stations KAAT, KVMT and KBCR and owning Iowa station KFNF. Survived by his wife, Dorothy, 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings Mary Sortino, Bill Gayer, and sister-in-law Jean Gayer. He was predeceased by son Michael, sister Bette, and brother-in-law Don Erickson. Graveside service is Sept. 13 in Plattsmouth, NE. Gifts in John's memory may be sent to Children's Hospital of Aurora.
