John Gibbons

John Martin Gibbons was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 14, 1926 to John William Gibbons and Gertrude Marie (Downey) Gibbons, and passed away at his home in Lakewood, Colorado on October 22, 2015 at age 89. Reverend John Gibbons was ordained a Roman Catholic Priest on May 26, 1956. Fr. Gibbons is survived by his sister, Sr. Marina Gibbons and his brother Thomas Gibbons. He was preceded in death by his brother John W Gibbons Jr., his brother James Downey Gibbons, and his sister Rose Mary Schaefer. The Vigil Service will be held Wednesday, October 28th, 5:30 PM at Presentation of Our Lady Catholic Church, 695 Julian Street. The Funeral Mass, Celebrated by Most Reverend Archbishop Samuel Aquilla, will be Thursday, October 29th, 10AM at the Cathedral Basilica of The Immaculate Conception, 1530 Logan Street; The Committal Service will be Friday, October 30th, 11:30 AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
