John Hamilton

John Robert Hamilton, age 77, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020. He was born in Fort Collins, Colorado on February 16, 1943.

John attended Wichita East High School, Wichita, Kansas; Kansas State University, Lawrence, Kansas; and graduated from Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kansas.  He worked as a Petroleum Landman for over 35 years and retired from the oil and gas industry in late 2007.

His hobbies included spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren. He loved playing golf and was most recently a member of The Meadows Golf Club – Senior League.

John is survived by his wife Karen, daughter Alexandra (Hunter), son Aaron (Ashley), grandchildren JR and Magnolia Burdick and Lucca Hamilton, sister Jeanne (Maryland), and brother Dick (Sharlene) (Cedaredge, Colorado). He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl Robert and Norine May Hamilton.

Services will be held at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, Littleton, Colorado on August 20, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.  (Please note masks must be worn during service).

A celebration of John's life will be held at Raccoon Creek Golf Course - The Farmhouse, 7301 West Bowles Avenue, Littleton, Colorado on Sunday, August 23, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.
