John P. Hanak, Jr. of Aurora, Colorado passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with Huntington’s Disease. He was 67. He was born to parents Isabelle and John P. Hanak, Sr. in Union City, NJ. He graduated from Emerson High School in Union City, after years of playing on their football team. He moved to Colorado when he was 22, after graduating with an Associate’s Degree and went on to self-instruct in computer programming and Systems. He became a Systems Contractor before he became ill with Huntington’s Disease.
John leaves behind two sisters, Elaine Hanak-Hall (Tom Hall) of Broomfield, CO and Maryanne (Dan) Rusinak of Oak Park, Illinois. In addition, he left behind 4 nieces and nephews: Joshua, David, Rachel and Kirsten, and 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews.
Graveside burial services will be performed on January 3, 2022 at 1pm at St. Simeon’s Cemetery in Aurora, Colorado.
