John Lawrence Helmore

John Lawrence Helmore was born in Port Huron, MI, on April 17, 1914, and died peacefully on December 18, 2005, at age 91. He was being cared for at Alterra Clare Bridge- High. Ranch. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Jean Helmore and his brother Jack White (FL). He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Jean (Clyte) Pittman (Castle Rock), his son, John Helmore (CA), his brother George Helmore (MI), 4 grandchildren, Bethany (Tom) DeBerard, Mary Lee Pittman, James Pittman-all of Denver, Dana Helmore (CA), and 2 great-grandchildren, Kelsie and Bryn DeBerard. He loved his work on computers for 42 years at Burroughs. In retirement, he volunteered at the church and Meals on Wheels, he was an artisan of stained glass and a life long handyman. He was cheerful and loved his family dearly. Services will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 2950 S. University Blvd., Denver, on Tuesday, December 27, at 11 am with lunch following.
