John Fredrick Hill beloved ""Dad"" and grandfather passed away September 12, 2019 at the age of 84.

John (aka ""Fred"") was born in Detroit on Valentine's Day 1935 to Yalmer and Elma Hill. He was a longtime resident of Rochester, MI where he lived with his late wife Carol and beloved Sheltie dog Joey.

John also spent many summers on his Finnish family's farm on beautiful Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula. He was ""Pure Michigan"" and loved fishing and boating the Great Lakes. John held a graduate degree from Wayne State University in Engineering and was a true ""techie"" long before his time.

After retirement, John enjoyed taking cruises, snapping photos, reading, landscaping, grilling, playing cards, bird watching and volunteering at his local senior center.

John will be greatly missed by his surviving family-His older brother Robert (of Brighton, MI) son Bryan, daughter Amy, son-in-law Daniel, granddaughter Morgan (all of Denver) as well as his many nieces and nephews around the country.
