John ""J.J."" Jefferson, Jr.

January 8, 1968 — August 20, 2016

John Ernest Jefferson, Jr. was born on January 8, 1968 to John Ernest and Sharon Joann Jefferson. He was the 3rd of three children in their union. He was known as ""JJ"" to everyone. JJ was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver, where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He continued on in life working hard in college receiving an Associates of Arts Degree in Communication. He later married Vida C. Red Horse, in this union they have 3 boys Corylee (28), Travis (27), and Joshua (20). He went on to be an entrepreneur in various business ventures such as owning his own trucking company. He followed his passion as a life coach, not only in little league football, but all aspects of leadership on and off the field. As a 'jack of all trades' JJ was involved in competitive rodeo and loved to travel across the country. He held many positions at many jobs, but he was best at making a friend of the friendless. He is survived by his mother Sharon Jefferson, his life mate Rosemary, his 4 sons Corylee, Travis, Joshua and Jefohn Jefferson (5), his older brother Reginald Jackson and his sister Sonya Jefferson, along with the love of many uncles, cousin, and friends. As the sun sets on JJ's chapters, a new legacy begins with his grandson Munro Jefferson. A Funeral Service honoring J.J will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 beginning at 10:00 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. The Interment will immidately follow at Hampden Memorial Gardens, 8600 East Hampden Avenue, Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the family.
