John Joseph Kempter

John J. Kempter, 88, passed away November 2, 2008. Beloved father of LeRoy Eldrige, Patricia (Donald) Koger, Robert Kempter, Richard (Betty) Kempter; grandfather of 20. Also survived by numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and sister Agnes Pinkerton. John was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Eileen; and sons James Kempter and Dave Parks. John was in the Navy CBMU 569 Unit during WWII. He retired in 1980 from Shell Oil after 30 years of service. Visitation Thursday, November 6, 5-7 PM with Rosary Service at 7 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant St., Thornton. Funeral Mass Friday, November 7, 10 AM at Our Lady Mother of the Church Catholic Church, 6690 E. 72nd Ave., Commerce City. Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge.
