John ""Jack"" Henry McCarthy

John Henry ""Jack"" McCarthy, 69, passed August 5, 2014. Jack was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and settled in Arlington Heights, Illinois to raise his family where they resided for 41 years. Jack worked at O'Hare International Airport for 35 years as an electronic rep to the major airlines. His love for the outdoors, nature, and the majority of his family brought him to Colorado. He enjoyed his Chicago sports teams, his dog, and any water related activity – fishing, swimming, rafting, etc. Jack enjoyed giving back to his Arvada, Colorado - Forest Springs Community while serving on its board of directors. Jack appreciated the great friendships he formed there. His greatest passion was spending time with his grandkids. He was a genuine, kind, helpful, and generous man who just enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon; sons Brian (Candace), J.B. (Vaishali), Mark (Kristin), and Tom; and brother Roy. His seven grandchildren will miss their Grandpa immensely. The family will receive friends during visitation on Sunday, August 10, 2014, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM, at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 11, 2014, 10:00 AM, at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church, 7555 Grant Place, Arvada, Colorado. Reception follows at Malone's Clubhouse Grill, 14455 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada.
