John Nicholas Pavlakovich was born in Denver, Colorado on November 26, 1930 to George and Frances Pavlakovich. John assumed his place in the kingdom of heaven on March 1, 2017 - Ash Wednesday. Very fitting that John was called by our Lord on the first day of Lent, since it was his favorite religious season. John was an extremely dedicated son. He was a precocious, outgoing child and teenager. John was the youngest in his family that included his brothers Joe and George. John helped his parents assimilate in the U.S. from Slovenia as a first generation American. John married Georgina (Perito) Pavlakovich on April 5, 1952 in a love affair that lasted 64 beautiful years. John and Gina were a ""family first"" couple. Nothing mattered more than to love and provide for their 5 children. John was exceptionally faith-filled and prayed daily, including the rosary as a devoted and proud Catholic. John's love of God and family was his life. John ""never met a stranger"". He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to have fun. He was a remarkable provider for his family as a hard-working and successful liquor salesman and executive for over 40 years. His passion for people and the church were intertwined and led him to work as a parish business manager and more recently as a funeral director. In these positions John provided the same dedication, respect, compassion and sincerity to his new profession especially when people were grieving the loss of their loved ones. John loved music. As a teenager John formed his own dance band as the singer and conductor. ""Johnny Nick and His Orchestra"" performed for over six decades. John proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. We were so tremendously blessed to have a husband, dad, papa, great-grandpa, uncle and friend that exemplified abundant deep faith, love and support. John is survived by his beloved wife Gina, loving father of John (Nancy - deceased), Deanna (Steve Hansen), Marianne (Sherwood Owens) Very Reverend Father Michael, Nicholas (Tara). John has nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. John's life was steeped in tradition. John ended every ""dance job"" with, ""Good night. God Bless, and May the Good Lord take a little liking to ya"".
