John (Jack) Thomas Pennie, age 83, passed away at his home in Northglenn, CO on Tuesday, August 09, 2022, holding the hands of each of his sons. Jack is predeceased by his wife of over 50 years, Karon Jean Pennie, and his brothers Chuck and Paul. He is survived by his sons John and David Pennie, his daughter in law Genisi Pennie, his three grandchildren Ethen, Hazel and Justin, and his sisters Nancy and Mary Lou, as well as a full family of nieces and nephews.
Born to Cyral Pennie and Edna Williams in Denver, CO, he met his wife when he was one of her patients. Jack was devoted to his wife and family. He worked in neon signage, as his father did, for most of his career. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt, and fish. He loved to talk with his brothers and sisters and large extended family on a regular basis. He enjoyed a good scotch with his closest friends, Art Roberts and Scott Smith. He enjoyed watching football, hockey, and especially old western movies that he had playing on the television most of the time. He looked out for his community and neighbors and helped anyone asking for support when he could. He spent many years as a care giver to his wife and made sure she and his sons were always taken care of. Jack was a tough, but tender man who became a great patriarch to his family. He was greatly loved and will be missed.
