John Perucco

John Andrew Perucco, age 60, of Elgin, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2023 from a chairlift injury during a family vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado.

John was born on May 19, 1962 to George and Ruth (Bursky) Perucco in Deerfield, Illinois. John graduated from Larkin Highschool in 1980, earned a Bachelor of Science degree from George Williams College in 1984, and an MBA from Rosemont University in 2001. In his career, he most recently worked as a Senior Project Manager in the Risk Management division at Citibank for more than 12 years. John previously worked as a Senior Program Administrator at Motorola for 14 years. In addition, he also worked for Allstate and State Farm.

In 1981, John met Victoria Sanko-Perucco their freshman year in college on a ski trip to Winter Park, Colorado. They both shared a passion for the mountains, the outdoors, and travel. Even though they lived in different states, their connection grew and they married in 1987. The loving couple had three daughters and was known for having multiple collies. John taught his girls to cheer for 'Da Bears', love animals, and be ambitious and steadfast in their goals.

John learned to ski at age 14. He was an expert skier with over 46 years of experience and was a volunteer Ski Patroller for 18 years. John's hobbies included: Skiing, dogs, cars, NASA, music, and biking.

John was a fine, kind man who touched many lives. John was preceded in death by George and Ruth Perucco. He is survived by his loving wife Victoria Sanko-Perucco of 35 years; 3 daughters: Jenna (Perucco) Luter and Quentin Luter, Lauren Perucco-Miller and Katie Miller, and Devin Perucco; brother Paul Perucco, and sister Anne (Perucco) Shepard and Jerry Shepard.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life, which will be held at Villa Olivia located 1401 W Lake Street Bartlett, Illinois 60123 on Saturday April 15, 2023 from 2:00 pm- 6:00 pm.
