John C. Peters

John C. Peters passed away March 6, 2008, age 87. Born in Brush, CO, son of Emma Alice and John. He served in the US Navy during WW II, and worked as an electrician at CU Med Ctr for 35 years. He enjoyed gardening, sports, volunteering, and square dancing. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Leona; his children, Jim (Sonnie), Cheryl (Brad) Thompson and Rob; his grandchildren, Meghan, Jonathan, Jeffrey and Rosamond; great-grandchild, Madeline; brother, Harry, and sister, Irene, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday, at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. (at Parker Rd.), Aurora. Recital of Rosary will begin at 9:30 AM, Tuesday, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at 10:00 AM. Donations may be made to St. Andrews.
