John Watson Pifer

March 23, 1942 — December 12, 2012

John was preceded in death by his father, Marion Pifer, and his sister, Eleanor Harris. He is survived by his mother June Pifer of Greeley, his brother Jerry Pifer of Greensboro, NC, his sister Linda Miller of Greeley; his daughters Maria Morgan of Colorado Springs, Teresa Hagen of Littleton, and Denise Steerman of Littleton; his son David Pifer, his granddaughters Nichole Hagen, Harley Hagen, and Myranda Steerman; and step-grandson Alex Morgan. John graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in Business Administration. His retirement from a distinguished 30-plus year career with State Farm Insurance allowed him to pursue full time his avid support of the Rockies, the Avalanche, the Broncos, and the Nuggets teams, all of which counted John as one of their season ticket holders. John valued his membership in the Arapahoe Sertoma, The Mile High Church of Religious Science, and the State Championship Littleton High School Football and Basketball teams of 1959/1960. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1:30pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block west of South Holly Street) in Centennial, Colorado 80122 with a reception to follow. Graveside Service will be at 3:30pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Boulevard, in Littleton, Colorado 80121.
