John Robert Postas

John Robert Postas, 85, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2017 in Denver, Colorado. John is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Shirley Manning. Survivors include his daughters Jo Anne Postas and Vicki Postas Byrne (Mike); granddaughters Katherine Manning Byrne (Alex) and Jennifer Roberts Byrne (Philippe) and dear friends Sarah MacLeod and Jane Powell. John had a distinguished 26 year career in the USAF with assignments throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. After retiring from the Air Force, John went on to teach high school mathematics in Virginia and later at Sierra High School in Colorado Springs where he was honored as the “Educator of the Year”. John treasured his family and friends, AFA football and a gin martini. Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, September 22 at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Staging Area B immediately followed by a reception at Lakewood Country Club, 6800 W. 10th Ave., all are welcome.
