John Edward ""Jack"" Reilly, beloved husband and best friend of Joan (Sullivan) Reilly for 62 years, died peacefully on May 2, 2016. Jack was born in Waukegan, IL in 1931, to Raymond T. and Frances Conley Reilly. He obtained a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois and a law degree from the University of Denver. Jack practiced patent law in Denver for almost 60 years, most recently with the Reilly Intellectual Property Law Firm. He was an active member of the community and enjoyed dedicating his time to a number of organizations, including serving as President of the University Club of Denver. He is survived by his wife, Joan, and five of his children; Kathleen Reilly (Philip) Sevier, Bill (Linda), Sue Reilly (Guy) Obermeier, Ellen Reilly (Matt), and Dan (Tracy); as well as by 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his sister, Barbara R. Knox. He was preceded in death by his son, John E. Reilly, Jr. His humor, kindness, love and integrity will be missed by all. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 830 Elm Street, Denver, Colorado on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 2:30 PM.
