Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away peacefully on October 29, 2009. John ""Fred"" Riesenman was born on October 19, 1921 in Cheyenne, WY to St. Clair Aloysius (Doc) and Harriet Vance Riesenman. Fred married Helen A Bauer on April 18, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN. He served in the U.S. Army, where he studied the Japanese language at various universities throughout the United States. Fred is survived by his 11 children, John F. Riesenman Jr. (Charlotte), Fresno, CA, Robert P. Riesenman (Barbara), Denver, CO, Mary C. Boyle (Dennis), Sparks, NV, Anna T. Rinaldo (Michael), Pueblo, CO, Kathleen H. Andersen (Larry), Lakewood, CO, Margaret (Peggy) Gannon (Timothy), Cedar Falls, IA, Jo E. Cothran (Ronald), Denver, CO, Lucy M. Rice (David), Centennial, CO, Amy L. Simpson (Christopher), Eagle River, AK, James J. Riesenman, Denver, CO, Susan E. Kuehn (David), Draper, UT. Also survived by his sister Bess Christman (Robert), Bellingham, WA, 26 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife of 54 years, one great-grandchild, Anna Rositter. Rosary, Friday, November 6th, 7PM, Horan & McConaty 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Memorial Mass, Saturday, November 7th, 10AM at Mother of God Catholic Church, 475 Logan St., Denver. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Denver Hospice, 501 South Cherry Street, Denver, CO 80246 or Mother of God Catholic Church.
