John Otto Sala

John O. Sala, 93, passed away September 8, 2005 at his home in Elizabeth, Colorado. John was born October 4, 1913 in Kootenie County, Idaho, to Pioneer parents, Matthew and Olivia Sala. John worked in the woods, clearing timber and then served in the Army during World War II. John worked as a Butcher for 30 years for King Soopers, while raising cattle and quarter horses. Survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth 'Betty' Mann Sala, of Elizabeth, CO., and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. A viewing will be held from 3:00-5:00pm, on Sunday, Sept. 11th, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3201 South Parker Road, Aurora, with a Rosary at 5:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be on Monday, Sept. 12th, 11am, Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, 34201 County Road 33, Elizabeth, Colorado. Interment, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Elizabeth, Colorado. Memorial Donations may be made to the Queen of Heaven Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 1689, Elizabeth, CO 80107 or to the Harrison, Idaho Cemetery.
