Our Dad was born October 1, 1928 to John and Elizabeth Tanzillo in Pittsburg Pennsylvania, he was the oldest of 3.
One brother who preceded him in death, Edward Tanzillo and his Youngest Sister Beverly Finnerty, who lives in Florida with her husband James Finnerty.
He leaves behind two Children, Nannette Newth and Jacquelynn Phelps. Four Grand Children William Stohlton, Melia Qualls, Cortney Phelps, Kacy Phelps and one Great Grand Child Kaydence Stohlton.
Our father was very proud of the time he honorably served in the armed forces with what is now the Air Force as a pilot During WWII and the Korean War. His stories are those of many challenges during this time and we believe suffered a great sense of loss that he could not forget during the remainder of his life.
After the war he was stationed at Lowery Air Force Base in Denver Colorado, when he met the first love of his life Beulah Williams who also preceded him in death.
Our father was very fortunate to have a second love of his life Opal Fisher, who he also leaves behind. They lived together in Littleton Colorado for 27 years.
Our Dad did not really have any hobbies, but what he did have was a passion for cars his favorite of all of course was the Lincoln Town Car. He even has quite the collection of model cars as well; such as a few Duesenberg's, 50's style T-Bird and a corvette, just to name a few.
He also had a passion for old WWII and Korean Aircraft, mainly the B-17 which replaced the P-80 Jet that he actually flew during the Korean War.
Our dad also loved Acting, he was found by a talent agency and did a few movies like ""Lady Bugs"" with Rodney Dangerfield, ""Flash Back"" with Dennis Hopper and Kiefer Sutherland and ""Die Hard II"" with Bruce Willis. He even appeared in a few Colorado Lottery Commercials where he joined the Screen Actor Guild, this opened up opportunities for him to cast his vote in the SAG Awards.
The final thing to say about our dad, that he had his own way of doing things. With respect to him I will always dedicate the song by Frank Sinatra My Way.
