John Thornton

John Thornton was born on October 31, 1941 in Inglewood, California.  He departed this life on January 20, 2022 at the age of 80 in Littleton, Colorado. John is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Margaret.

He is survived by his 4 children: Marlene Parker, Matthew Thornton, Lynne Bennett, Dee Wild; two nephews: Chris and Scott Thornton; four grandchildren: Matt, Terry, Kristen and Aaron. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Thornton.

John loved his family, cars, dogs, and art.  John had a witty and sarcastic sense of humor.  He loved always being his own boss.  Later in life he enjoyed antique stores and auctions.

John valued the friends he made and the laughs shared.  John did not fear going home to meet the Lord Jesus Christ.

His funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 12:30pm, Burial will follow at Littleton Cemetery.
