John Miller Van Voorhis John M. Van Voorhis, 86, passed away February 6, 2005, in Englewood, Colorado. He was born August 17, 1918 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Harry and Eleanor (Miller) Van Voorhis. John received his B.S. from Wooster College and his M.S. in Economic Geology from Rutgers University. After training at Ft. Belvoir, VA, he served as a Lt. in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in World War II. He had a long career with the Johns-Manville Corp. in New York and Denver as Vice-President in Aerospace Sales. He later taught at Regis College in Denver for 10 years. John's generous spirit and loving, accepting heart will be forever treasured by his wife of 59 years, Jeanne; daughter, Nancy Van Voorhis (husband, Jim Davidson); son, John Van Voorhis (wife, Kathleen Cronan); grandchildren, Jessica and Caroline Davidson, Michael and Katie Van Voorhis; brother, Harry Jr. (wife, Irene) Van Voorhis, and many friends and relatives.
