John Gordon Wesolek

September 8, 1927 — October 27, 2019

John Gordon Wesolek, 92, passed away at Morning Star Assisted Living in Littleton, CO on October 27, 2019 two weeks after losing the love of his life June. John was born on September 8, 1927 in Saginaw, MI. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in Korea as a medic. While stationed at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center he met his future wife June whom he married in 1956. After his military service he worked for Martin Marietta for many years and retired from there in 1992.

John was preceded in death by his parents Casimir Alexander and Mary Theophillia Adamski Wesolek. He is also predeceased by, his beloved wife of 63 years Sylvia ""June"" Ensley Wesolek. He is survived by his children Kathryn Mary Leavins (Perry), David Paul Wesolek (Gina), John Howell Wesolek (Linda) and Stephen James Wesolek. Cherished grandchildren Aaron (Daniela) Leavins, Shane (Jennifer) Leavins, Zachary Wesolek, Kirsten Wesolek, and Erika Wesolek, and great-grandchildren Maxwell and Wesley Leavins. He is also survived by a brother Paul Wesolek.

John loved people and will be remembered for his huge laugh and big presence in any situation. He liked to spend time with his wife, kids, and grandkids; go to the ""spa"" to see his gym buddies; go fishing; and work in his yard. He was loved and will be missed.

A celebration of life will be held at Morningstar Assisted Living Facility at 5344 South Kipling Parkway, Littleton, CO 80127 on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow.
