Johnathan Leon Laster

Johnathan, 61, of Westminster, Carpenter, Artist, Graduate of Hinkley High School 1967, passed away at home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from a seizure. Passionate about his causes for peace & justice, John motivated the rest of us to be great in our efforts for a better planet. Born in Harriman, Tennessee on December 9, 1949 to William & Helen Laster. Survived by brothers Joe, Fort Worth, Steven & Bill, Amarillo, sister Nancy and niece Stacey of San Marcos, Texas & nieces Kathy & Kelly, Clarksville, Tennessee; devoted & beloved friend to the Bob Reposa Family, Aurora, Fran Allison, Arla Bartholomew, Beau & Monty, Westminster, Bernice Anderson, Honolulu, Hawaii, Aarik, Aaron & Amy Eberhardt, Fort Mill, South Carolina, a host of close & precious friends in Colorado, on Wagner Street, and around the World. John was a founding member of the Denver Art Students League, Devotee and Practitioner to the wisdom of Yogi Paramahansa Yogananda and Buddhist Philosopher & Educator, Alan Watts; passionate & devoted fan to ""everything"" Bob Dylan, & John Lennon, Johnny Cash, Van Morrison...the list goes on. Vegetarian food will be served at both events. John's spirit will be with each of us, forever & in every way as he goes ""into the mystic"" - ""tangled up in blue"" & ""walk[ing] the line""!
