It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Johnny Castillo, who took his final breath on December 6, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on September 15, 1979, Johnny was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend to all who knew him.
Johnny graduated from Emily Griffith and began a lifelong journey in the trades. Starting in HVAC heating and plumbing, he eventually discovered his passion for working on hot tubs. His unparalleled talent and determination helped build two businesses from the ground up. Johnny had an extraordinary gift for solving problems and fixing anything, whether replumbing an entire hot tub or designing creative upgrades to bring his customers’ visions to life. As a leader, he ran service departments with unmatched organization and dedication.
Johnny’s proudest achievement, however, was the family he built with love and care. He was a devoted husband to Melissa and a proud father to his children, whom he cherished deeply. He often said, “My legacy begins with me and my boys,” and he lived that every day by setting an example of love, strength, and kindness.
Johnny found joy in life’s simple pleasures, whether camping, fishing, traveling, or enjoying the ocean. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the world, from London to Hawaii, ensuring every trip was filled with unforgettable memories. Known as the life of any gathering, his infectious laugh and generous heart touched everyone he met. Johnny had a special gift for bringing people together and was always ready to help anyone God placed in his path.
Johnny leaves behind his beloved wife, Melissa; his sons, Marcus, Syrus, Jayden, and Jordan; his stepchildren, Maryanne, Marissa, and Robert Rodriguez; two granddaughters; his mother and stepfather; his grandmother; two sisters; one brother; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Marcelino Pacheco.
Johnny's legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His contagious spirit and dedication to his family will never be forgotten.
A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at Horan & Mc Conaty 9998 Grant St Thornton, CO 80233 December 21st for a viewing 2-6pm and his services December 22nd at 12-1 pm . In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations for the care of Melissa and their boys during this difficult time until she is able to get on her feet with a stable income as Johnny was the sole provider.
