Johnny Mallow

Johnny Mallow was a loving father, brother, uncle and son. Johnny was born on December 4, 1953 in Plainview, Texas. He died on November 16, 2010. Johnny grew up on a farm near Halfway, Texas and graduated from Plainview High School in 1972. He attended college at West Texas University and Wayland Baptist College. Johnny was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He also played baseball from elementary to high school, as well as coached Little League Baseball at Edmonson, Texas and women's softball in Windom, Texas. Johnny moved to Denver in 1980. Shortly after, he began working for the Denver Water Board, where he worked as a Senior Construction Inspector for sixteen years. He then continued his career as a pipeline inspector as well as Senior Construction Inspector until his death. He greatly enjoyed his work. Johnny was a talented country and western dancer, winning many contests; one that included winning a trip to Italy and Germany. Johnny loved the outdoors. He loved to go driving in the mountains, four-wheeling and mountain biking. In recent years he moved south to Arizona and grew quite fond of the dessert. He was a talented photographer and loved to take photos of the outdoors. Johnny was a kind, gentle and loving man who was liked by those he encountered. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his daughter Harmony Mallow of Chicago, Illinois, sisters LaTresa Miller (Lyle) of Floydada, Texas, Shirley Brown (Lewis) and Jeannie Mallow-Orr(Allen), both of Aurora, Colorado, two nephews, four nieces, two great-nephews and four great-nieces. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Dovie and JT Mallow.
