Cathy Rinker (nee Johnnye Catherine Ledbetter), founder of the Guild of Mount Saint Vincent and the Silver Bell Ball, a tireless fund raiser for several charities in Denver, has died. She passed away May 26, 2018. Born October 8, 1938, in Jackson, MS, she was the daughter of the late John William and Lora Lane Ledbetter. Cathy graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and attended Mississippi University for Women. She was employed as a sales associate in the âclubâ at the Cherry Creek Saks Fifth Ave. and later, Cathy helped Dan Sharp at his luxury outerwear shop in Cherry Creek North. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Theodore P. Rinker and children Catherine Polk MacAdam, Valencia, CA and Cadwallader Leonidas Polk, IV (Julie), Houston, TX; her step-children Robert Rinker, Denver, CO, John Rinker (Kathy), Lone Tree, CO, and Linda Rinker, Topeka, KS.; her siblings, Barbara Ledbetter Brunini (Edward), Madison, MS and John W. Ledbetter (Renee), Ridgeland, MS.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and five nieces and nephews. A memorial will begin with a recitation of the rosary at 10 a.m. on June 9 at the Horan & McConaty chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. The service itself is at 10:30.
