JohnPaul William Strate

October 21, 1968 – June 5, 2022

We are sad to inform you of the passing of JohnPaul (JP) William Strate, who peacefully left us on June 5, 2022, after an eight-month battle with stage-four glioblastoma. JohnPaul was born on October 21, 1968, in Pueblo, CO to Bill and Elaine Strate. JP is survived by his beloved daughter Myra, his mother Elaine (Papedo-Strate) Williams; his sister Jamie Armatas (Sam); nieces Basil, Georgie, and Sammie. In addition, his stepbrothers Tom Williams (Wendy, Madison and Jordan) and Rob Williams (Jennifer and Kacey). Preceded in death by his father William John Strate and his Stepfather William Williams.

He is blessed to have many incredible aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends of whom JP had his own personal and unique bond with.  Each, and every, one of them.

In his young 53 years JohnPaul will be remembered for his jovial spirit, his immense compassion, his friendly magnetism, and his vast capacity to love. May God grant him peace, paradise (and a suit of armor) in his eternal life.

He will be greatly missed!
