Jonathan Perez

April 16, 1981 — January 20, 2022

Jonathan Elijah Perez “Jon”, was born 4/16/1981 and passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on 1/20/2022 at the age of 40yrs old.

Jonthan was truly a precious soul and an amazing gift from God.  To everyone he met, Jon had a big smile. Handshake for the guys and a HUG for the ladies.  What a guy.

Jon loved movies, no matter how many times we had to watch them.  Of his favorites were Grease, he loved to dance away like nobody was watching.  Hair Spray, he loved the music and enjoyed endless hours of his huge music and movie collections.  His room was reminiscent of Hollywood, posters, and paintings of all his favorites graced his walls. Jon also loved his coloring as well and has many show pieces he shared. Jon loved swimming; he was like a little whale in the water.  He held his breath for so long we couldn’t believe it.  From one side of the pool to the next, absolutely was a clown jumping off the diving board.  What fun he had, probably the best swimmer of the family.

Jon will be missed terribly by his Family and especially his mom, who cared and loved him unconditionally for 40 years. All who met Jon surely felt the love he had; he touched so many people’s hearts. He was a precious human being, loved life, loved everyone he met, never had a mean bone in his body. He was always happy!!

Jon is survived by his mommy, Evelyn LoVerdi Cruz, Sisters Monica and Sonya. Niece Isabella, nephews Alex and Dane whom he helped raise, and the newest addition baby Jaxson who he loved with a passion. Jon is also survived by his family in Idaho, Aunt Karen, Uncles Frank, Kevin & Kathy, and nieces. Additional, family in California and Colorado. Father Mark K. Perez predeceased Jonathan.

Jonathan loved participating in Special Olympics. He enjoyed basketball, swimming, bowling, and field and track. He enjoyed participating with his fellow Olympians and had a great sense of accomplishment. We will cherish all of his gold medals.
