Joseph George Allspach

Joe was born April 7, 1924, in Denver, Colorado, to William and Elizabeth Allspach and died July 3, 2010, at Collier Hospice in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Joe served in Europe during WWII as an Airplane Armorer Gunner in the Army Air Force. He had a lifelong passion for motorized vehicles - driving truck for U.S. Steel, Arapahoe County School District, and A-Ace Ash & Trash Service he co-owned with his brother, Bill. He won trophies racing midget cares before roll bars or seatbelts were invented and was a longtime member of the Denver Antique Automobile Club. Joe was also a member of the VFW and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado. He enjoyed making smiles performing for groups as an amateur clown. Joe Married Esther Gordon on September 4, 1948. She preceded him in death after 33 years of marriage. Also preceded in death by sister Margaret Hager and brother Bill. Survived by sister Helen Dreher of Quincy, WA and Vincent Edward of Aurora, CO. Rosary with Funeral Mass to follow Thursday, July 8 at 9:45AM, St. Mary Catholic Church, 6853 South Prince Street, Littleton, CO. Burial with Military Honors, 1:15PM, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area ""C"", 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, CO.
