Joseph I. Alvarez

Lt. Col. (Ret) Joseph I. Alvarez, 83, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2007. Husband of Ruby Welch Alvarez; Father of Joseph Jonathan (Tracy) Alvarez, Charles Thomas Alvarez, Raymond Kent (Susie) Alvarez, Patrick Gene (Vivienne)Alvarez and Martha Josette Labbe; brother of Trine Alvarez, Hope Dugan, Mary Scott and Sara Garcia. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great~grandchildren. Visitation, Thursday, November 15, from 5-7PM, at Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. (Parker Rd) Aurora, 80014. A Rosary will follow at 7 PM. Funeral Mass, Friday, November 16, at 10 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E. Kentucky Ave., Aurora, CO 80012. A reception will follow in the church hall. Burial will follow the reception at 1:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Denver at staging area B with full military honors.
