Joseph B. Elizondo

Joseph Elizondo, 89, retired Geologist/Mining Engineer, passed on May 3, 2011 in St. George, Utah. He was born August 26, 1921 in Marysville, California to Joseph B. and Effie Lorey Elizondo. He married Laura ""Peggy"" Vincent in Marfa, Texas on December 25, 1944. He is survived by his children; Joseph Brian (Soo Joo) Elizondo of Forest Falls, California, Phyllis (Ed) Elizondo Swift of St. George, Utah and Susan (Larry) Elizondo Wagner of Westminster, Colorado, Grandchildren; Kathy Elizondo, Connie Elizondo, Stephen (Heather) Elizondo, Elissa Elizondo, James Marcus Caldwell, Joseph Paul (Jackie) Caldwell, Katy (Wagner) McDaniel, Stephanie (Swift) Minderhaud, Jeff Swift and Ryan Swift, as well as nine Great Grandchildren. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Laura ""Peggy"" Elizondo and his brother, Oscar Elizondo. Rosary, Tuesday, 6:30pm, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 12:00pm, Saint Jude Catholic Church, 9405 West Florida Avenue. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
