Joseph, 81, died in Denver, Colorado on April 13, 2010. He was the second son of five children of Audry Bando and Cadis Fulford. Joe was born in Grady County, Georgia, on January 1, 1929. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Diana Papedo Fulford; his ex-wife, Elaine Karamigios Fulford; two daughters, Karen Kirtland, Michelle (Brad) Kipp, one son, Dean (Lauren) Fulford, two stepdaughters, Pamela (Jim) Solomon and Vicki (Andy) Swett; two brothers, George Fulford of Atlanta, Georgia and James Fulford of Griffin, Georgia; one sister, Nelna Jackson of Thomasville, Georgia; and twelve grandchildren and step grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother, William Frank Fulford and son-in-law, Jim Kirtland. To know Joe is to know his love of golf and love/hate relationship with the Broncos. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot during the Korean war, was a member of the 728th Bomb Squadron and was honorably discharged in 1952. When not on the golf course, Joe spent his time working in various employment including Vice-President of Colorado National Bank and as half owner with his friend, Jim Gianulis, of the Bullfighter Restaurant and half owner of D & J Investments with his friend Dick Kane. Trisagion to be held Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Service to be held Friday, April 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., both at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 5555 South Yosemite Street, in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Interment follows the service at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 South Quebec Street, in Denver, Colorado.
