Joseph Ephraim Galloway, 35, passed away suddenly June 30, 2012, in Denver, Colorado. Joseph was born May 15, 1977, in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Rodney G. and Donna Pate Galloway. Joseph attended Mark Twain Elementary School, Madison Middle School and Highland High School. He worked at Smith's as a bagger for a year and as a courtesy clerk at Kirtland Air Force Base Exchange for 10 years. For the past 3 years he has been residing in Denver, Colorado with his sister, Brenda and his cat, Pumpkin. Joseph liked to watch movies, go to the library, play pool at the recreation center, play his guitar and electronic drums, work on arts and crafts projects, ride his bike, collect rocks and drive his truck which had hand controls. He also liked to talk and read about Elvis, Sherlock Holmes, Garfield, Shoeless Joe, and inspirational thoughts and poetry. He liked to talk with everyone and considered everyone a friend particularly small children and babies. While in Denver he attended several adult day programs including the Rocky Mountain Adult Daycare and Laradon. Joseph was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed volunteering in the cafeteria at the Denver Temple. He was on his third pacemaker and had survived several previous heart difficulties, but was quite mobile and would go on walks using his cane. He is survived by his parents of Albuquerque; sisters, Rachel E. Miranda (Jorge A.) of San Antonio, TX, with children Emilie, Soleil, and Albert; Brenda of Denver; and Sarah of Mesa, AZ and brother Benjamin of Albuquerque; uncles and aunts: Cheryl Galloway; Jeff and Lola Galloway; Kent and Renae Galloway; John and Susan Galloway Stacey; Robert and Elaine Pate; Alma John (Jack) and Deon Pate; Maran Carl Pate; and Steven and Alice Pate Nelson; and many friends both in Albuquerque and Denver. The memorial services in Albuquerque included a Friday evening viewing, July 6 at French Mortuary followed by a Saturday funeral service on July 7 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 5709 Haines Ave NE. Burial was at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuguerque The memorial service in Denver will be Sunday evening July 15th at 7pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2710 South Monaco Parkway.
