Joseph Patrick Henry

Joseph P. Henry, MSgt USAF, Ret. 12/1/1935 – 4/4/2015 79, passed away April 4, 2015 after surviving 20 years with cancer. Born in St. Louis, MO, he faithfully served in the Air Force over 20 years, with tours in Vietnam. He retired at Lowry AFB, Colorado, and joined the civil services in both the Dept. of Defense and the Postal Service. He loved animals, especially dogs, and the outdoors spending his free time fishing. Beloved father of John (Robin) Henry, Sharon (Dan) Bruinsma and Teresa (Ernie) Eichenbrenner; proud grandfather of Joshua Henry, Amber Einspahr, and Eric Eichenbrenner; brother of Gertie Bodimer and Janice Novak; uncle of Tina Bodimer; and best friend of Livia Rappoli. Also survived by numerous step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Christina Henry; brother William ""Billy"" Henry; and cherished grandmother Esther Henry. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 11:30 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. Services will conclude with full Air Force honors at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 1:30 PM, Staging Area B. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter of your choosing.
