Joseph Darley Kennedy

Joe. Just the mention of his name brings a smile to everyone's face. I bet you're smiling now. Joe grew up in San Diego, California, where he spent most of his childhood until he got drafted in 1998. Joe was an accomplished friend, teammate, soul mate and father. Joe's gift was his friendship. As a friend, Joe was eternally loyal and always good for a laugh. He went above and beyond for anyone dear to his heart, and if you are thinking, ""he always picked on me,"" then rest assured, it was his first sign of love. Joe met his best friend and the love of his life when they were set up one night in St. Petersburg, Florida. Seven months later they were married. We all know they were made for each other, but more importantly they deserved each other. They began their lives together in Colorado where they decided to start a family. On November 17, 2006 they welcomed their fist son, Steffen Kaige Kennedy. Kaige brought a new aspect of happiness, and is a blessing to Jami and Joe's life. Joe was an amazing father. He put so much love and effort into every second he spent with Kaige. He was so proud of his growing family. Jami will welcome their second child in June 2008. Our dearest friends and family, I would like to thank you all for being here to support us. Thank you for all of the joy you have each added to our lives. I am so grateful for everyday that I had with my husband. I can truly say we made the most of every minute. We experienced life together and a love that some may never know. You are all so very important to me and to Joe's legacy. I ask that you will help me through this time by sharing your memories. Please call whenever you think of us, and make sure that our children know the man that we were so fortunate to share our lives with. I pray that Joe will be an inspiration to every part of your lives. I hope that all the wonderful memories will bring smiles to our faces whenever we miss him. I know Joe is still laughing and probably already in trouble up there. Please let that be encouragement for you to smile or maybe even laugh through your tears, and look forward to the time when we will all laugh together again. I love you all so very much! I am excited for all that we have to look forward to as we raise Kaige and ""baby Joe.""
