Joseph Clifford Marr, Jr.

Joseph Clifford ""Joe"" Marr, Jr., 69, of Castle Rock, formerly of Perry, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, January 19, at Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, surrounded by family. He was born October 26, 1946, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, son of Joseph Clifford and Josephine Arlene Vaughn Marr. He married Barbara Hannon on March 16, 1968. Joe served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard, serving three tours of duty, two in Vietnam and one in Iraq during Desert Storm. Joe worked as Safety Director for Foothills Energy Services, Inc., at the time of his death. He was an active member in his church and a dear friend to many. Papa Joe will be deeply missed. Joe is survived by his wife and children, Scott (Nanci), Steve (Kayla) and Lori Netty of Waterloo, IA; grandchildren, Hayley and Gracie Marr; Tyler (Amanda) of Fort Collins, Brittni and Travis Marr, and Alyson and Brianna Netty, both of Waterloo, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents. A public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 23, from 8:30-9:45 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 Oakwood Drive, Castle Rock, Colo., 80104. Graveside services will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 880 E. Wolfensberger Road, at 11:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be given directly to Barbara or in c/o Steve Marr, 382 S.
